New Delhi — IFFCO-TOKIO General Insurance Company Limited has announced the appointment of Mr. Tatsuya Fujimoto as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective September 2, 2026.
Mr. Fujimoto brings 28 years of global experience with the Tokio Marine Group, including leadership roles across Japan, the U.S., Malaysia, and India. His prior tenure at IFFCO-TOKIO includes serving as Senior Executive Director and Chief Risk Officer from November 2024 to June 2025, alongside previous operational experience with the firm. An alumnus of the Wharton School and Keio University, he is also a designated Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).
Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Fujimoto emphasized leveraging the combined strengths of IFFCO’s extensive network and Tokio Marine’s risk management expertise to drive innovation, customer value, and scalable growth in India’s evolving insurance sector.
IFFCO-TOKIO operates as a 51:49 joint venture between the Indian Farmers Fertilizer Co-operative (IFFCO) and Japan’s Tokio Marine Group, providing a comprehensive portfolio of retail and corporate insurance solutions across India.
