Lucknow. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Vinod Tawde arrived in Uttar Pradesh today for the first time following his appointment as the state in-charge. Upon his arrival in Lucknow, he received a grand and enthusiastic welcome from senior state leaders and party workers.
Tremendous zeal was witnessed among the party cadre all the way from the airport to the party headquarters. Senior BJP leaders, office-bearers, and a large number of workers were present on the occasion.
Major Claim in Interaction with Journalists
Speaking to reporters after the reception, Vinod Tawde made a bold statement regarding the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. He stated:
“Under the leadership of the world’s largest political party, the BJP, and the government running in the country, the popular Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP National President Nitin Nabin, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath—who is regarded as the architect of UP’s development—the BJP will form the government for a third consecutive term with a complete majority. There is absolutely no room for any ‘ifs and buts’ in this.”
 Â
He added that he has been in continuous contact with senior leaders and workers of Uttar Pradesh and is fully aware of the organizational strength here. Driven by this very organizational power, the BJP will secure a hat-trick with a full majority in the assembly elections to be held next year.
Sharp Attack on Samajwadi Party
Targeting the main opposition Samajwadi Party (SP), Tawde remarked that the SP claims to work on the PDA (Pichhde, Dalit, Adivasi/Alpsankhyak) agenda. Taking a jibe at SP’s PDA slogan, he said:
“No matter what superficial show SP leaders put on, the reality of their PDA slogan is ‘Paraya Dhan Apna’ (claiming others’ wealth as their own). The public has realized this truth.”
It is worth noting that the central leadership appointing an experienced leader like Vinod Tawde—who holds a strong grip on the party organization—as the Uttar Pradesh in-charge is being seen as a major signal of preparations for the 2027 elections. A fresh wave of enthusiasm has been observed among party workers right from his very first visit.
