NAVI MUMBAI — In a major boost to pediatric healthcare access, the Rotary Club of Dombivli East launched its “Supporting 10 Child Heart Surgeries” initiative today during an inauguration ceremony at the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital in Kharghar. The project, funded through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partnerships, will provide fully sponsored, life-saving cardiac procedures to 10 underprivileged children suffering from congenital heart defects.

The inaugurating event was attended by key CSR sponsors, including Dr. Digambar Desai of Prudent Corporate and Mrs. Akshada of NextGen. Rotarian Mukund Kulkarni was recognized for his pivotal role in facilitating the strategic corporate partnerships that made the initiative financially viable.

Congenital heart defects present severe physical, emotional, and financial burdens on lower-income families. By covering the complete cost of these complex surgeries, the joint initiative aims to alleviate the financial distress on affected households while delivering immediate critical care to the young patients.

The project is led by Project Director Rtn. Pramod Shenwai and Project Chair Rtn. Neeta Sonawani, alongside a delegation of club leadership including Past President Radhika Gupte, Past President Madhav Chikodi, and Rotarians Deelip Yawalkar, Sandip Kamble, Shantanoo Puranik, Gajendra Ade, and Hemant Vahalkar.

“Through strong CSR partnerships and the collective spirit of community service, we are able to offer these children a healthy future,” said Club President Atharva Joshi, alongside Honorary Secretary Subodh Patwardhan, in a joint statement expressing gratitude to the corporate donors and attending members.
