Nagpur:
The state government will extend complete support to boost the positive participation of the youth across diverse sectors such as education, skill development, sports, and startups, and a more robust startup ecosystem policy will be formulated in consultation with young people, stated Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. He was speaking as the chief guest at the concluding ceremony of the ‘Manthan4Yuva’ initiative held at Reshimbagh Ground in Nagpur. Over 25,000 young men and women attended the grand event.
Showcasing Maharashtra’s rich cultural tradition, 4,100 Dhol-Tasha players performed together in a grand presentation. This historic performance was entered into the Asia Book of Records, India Book of Records, and the World Records Book of India. Additionally, the participation of 585 registered flag bearers broke the previous world record of 260 flag bearers. Chief Minister Fadnavis congratulated the entire team on achieving these world records.
Direct Interaction with Youth Icons
Renowned sports commentator Ridhima Pathak engaged in a direct dialogue with the Chief Minister alongside Indian cricketer Tilak Varma, Paralympic athlete Dilip Gavit, Generic Aadhaar Founder and CEO Arjun Deshpande, and Go Zero Founder and CEO Kiran Shah. These icons shared their inspirational life journeys and experiences with the audience.
Constitution and Youth Policy
In his address, the Chief Minister remarked that democracy has matured because of the Constitution, which made it possible for him to rise from a corporator to Mayor, MLA, and Chief Minister. Speaking on startup policies, he clarified that the government aims to provide 100% assistance to youth, and an even better policy will be crafted through further discussions with them. He also noted that experts are being consulted to design strategies aimed at reducing children’s screen time and encouraging them back onto sports fields.
Oath for a Substance-Free India
Successful participants of the initiative, which ran from August 1 to August 23, along with youth icons from various fields, were honored by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Nagpur Police Commissioner Vishwas Nangre Patil administered an oath to the attending youth to lead a drug-free lifestyle and actively participate in creating a substance-free generation for a drug-free Maharashtra and India.
The event was attended by organizers Vishnu Changde and Ritesh Gawande, along with youth icons from various sectors and thousands of young attendees.
